“Changing my Job“, wrote Philip Linden in the Second Life Blog.
Wow, this headline attracted my attention! First Cory, now Philip? No, the opposite! Everything is in order. The more, I think Philip is making a wise (maybe overdue) step:
Fast and enormous growth changes a lot of aspects of startups. Philip will stay the one with the vision and have a new CEO do the work of organisation and management. Both can concentrate on their job with full energy.
Quote the LL Blog:
As to title, I will become chairman of the board. I will be 100% involved and fulltime at Linden Lab. Second Life is my life’s work, and I am not going anywhere! I will focus on product strategy and vision, continuing to design the right kind of company, and being an effective communicator and evangelist about Second Life. As a community member, you will probably see more of me in-world.

Yes, the only changeless thing in life is the change.
I can’t resist to say: I think the change we had end of last year turns out to be one of the best changes the Beach ever had.
Let me introduce the new Beach Guard Team: Ezadda, Lana, Fred, Hymen, Larry, Robert, Tungsten. The best team Laguna ever had (good old Uncle Sam included

Life Sign – ..since I sent a life sign
But yes, I am alive and kicking.
Something called.. uhm.. well.. *scratches head* ah yes! Real Life had been keeping me busy. I guess I am in a phase of major changes. “Every 7 years your life experiences a major change” my RL grand ma† used to say. Well, since 7 years ago nothing has happend, obviously I may experience a double dosis of change currently. Details? no.. sorry
100,000! – Oh, back to Second Life… Two weeks ago we had a large party. It wa awesome! We had a Charity “Bid for Date” Game. Thank you Rob and Ruby for this great idea. And look, even The Avastar reported on this event:

Beach Team – On Laguna Nude Beach a new Beach Guard Team has formed. Some of the old team prefer to work at other copy beaches. The new team is: Trent, Ruby, Maddie, Rob, Fred, Liljoe, Simona, Dior and Larry. It’s really a cool team. I love their heartiness and loyalty.

Traffic: – Some people asked me why Laguna is not in popular places anymore. Well, the market (offer) of Beaches has grown the past months. Many have just copied the concept of Laguna: Nude Beach + Mall.
What most people dont know about traffic is: There are serveral tricks to raise traffic.
Use huge parcels, offer camping chairs, recuit people from other places, spread bad word of mouth… A person formerly working at the beach told me: “I have a sim crasher script”. :-/ *sigh*
I am proud to say: We never used any of these sick tricks the history of Laguna Nude Beach. Our traffic is true traffic and true popularity
) A tenant on Laguna Boardwalk told me today: “There are many malls in popular places where you see Avatars in camping chairs only and nobody ever buys anything!!”. The more, we have a constant traffic of true fans of the place – w/o any tricks. The people just come and love the place. That’s the value of a place. I’m a happy Martin.

Yesterday was my first day with my new company. It was ok. Nice people there, the boss seems ok. I look forward to this new job. I got a bit closer to “make your hobby your profession”.

It was Novemer 25th, I was right back from my trip to Berlin.
11:45pm, Sandy suddenly IMed me: “Wow, IceDragon has been at number three since I first came into SL“. I thought somethimg like “Nice, why does she share this with me?” The Nude Beach is number 7 now. That’s amazimg too.” Then Maerlyn IMed me: “Martin I’ve sent you several messages with current traffic information“. So I began to wonder and updated the popular places list on my screen. And “GOSH!” I could not believe my own eyes….!
Laguna Nude Beach jumped on place 3 of most popular places in Second Life!!!
Today we are number 4. This is still a great success. I am curious to see the traffic today, thus we will see a first tendency how this place develops in Popular Places.

Due to the rapid growth of the Beach and the large crowd of people I set up a “Members Only” area. Access is granted to members of the “Mounier Beach Group” only. You find it in the north, close to the Dance Hall.
This place allows us to keep on relaxing and hanging out
